Accessing support is integral to making life with dementia more manageable and creating important community ties.

We provide free support to people living with dementia, their family and friends through individual supportive counselling and peer support groups.  The goals of our support programs is to help build/strengthen resiliency by:

  • Increasing your understanding about dementia
  • Developing strategies to help manage symptoms
  • Managing coping strategies                                  
  • Accessing support in the community that addresses your needs
  • Planning for future care
  • Understanding how feelings of ambiguous loss are impacting you

If you have questions or concerns regarding your diagnosis of dementia or if you are providing care and support to a person living with dementia and would you like to talk to someone about how you are coping, our dedicated Support team is here for you.

Enhancing Care for Care Partners Program

Delivered in partnership with the Sinai Health System Reitman Centre, the Enhancing Care Program offers therapeutic skills training free of charge to family or other unpaid care partners who are supporting individuals living with dementia.
