Alzheimer Society of B.C. releases new research publication
Focus on research covers B.C.’s biggest dementia research news of 2025.

Our vision is a world without Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, and that world begins with a society where people affected by dementia are welcomed, supported and included. Research is key to making this vision a reality.
Every year the Alzheimer Society of B.C. releases the Focus on research publication, covering the most impactful research news of the year.
Research provides hope and improves quality of life for people living with dementia, as well as their families and care partners. Bridging research and community and moving dementia research forward is an important part of our mission. As part of this work, we produce Focus on research.
This publication is for anyone who wants to learn more about dementia research, whether you’re living with dementia, helping to care for someone who is, working in health care or just interested in knowing more.
This year’s Focus on research includes:

- Highlights of the remarkable B.C. researchers and innovative projects we support.
- Dementia research news stories of the year.
- Resources for getting involved in research, and more.
