From April 23 to 29, the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County celebrates our volunteers who stand amidst Canada’s 12.7 million volunteers during National Volunteer Week.
During National Volunteer Week, we recognize the tireless contributions of our volunteers. Your support is absolutely invaluable to our staff, and to families across our community who are living with a dementia diagnosis. Thank you.
Do you want to make a difference? We need your help. Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County. Whether you have just a bit of time or want to get involved on a regular basis, there are a number of ways you can help.
Here are a few examples of volunteer opportunities that may appeal to your interests to get you thinking:
Offer your time
Help with local events like the annual Alzheimer Coffee Break®, the Walk/Skate for Memories, or help with a tag day in your community.
Offer your expertise
- Support caregivers as a Support Group Facilitator
- Join a committee to help with Fundraising
- Join the Board of Directors
- Help with Administration
- Join the Speakers Bureau
