Thank you to all the Alzheimer Coffee Break hosts and supporters - you did it! The 12th annual Alzheimer Coffee Break raised over $1,277,100, surpassing the goal of 1.25 million. This money has contributed to improving the lives of people with Alzheimer's disease and their families through helping to fund critical programs and services for people with Alzheimer's disease, their caregivers and their families across Canada. The Alzheimer Societies thanks the thousands of generous people who united across the country to make their coffee count last fall. Through their generosity they have contributed to making the lives of over half a million Canadians living with Alzheimer's or a related disease better.

The Society thanks Joey's Only Seafood Restaurants, Pfizer Canada Inc. and Creative Memories for their ongoing support as sponsors for the annual event. Also central to the event are the gifts-in-kind provided by Sara Lee Corporation. We are especially grateful for the efforts of Bulk Barns across Canada, who promoted the coffee break events in-store, encouraging their customers to donate to the Alzheimer Society. Bulk Barn alone brought in over $155,000.00.

"Without the generous support from the Canadian public and from our corporate sponsors, Coffee Break would not be the success that it is today," says Scott Dudgeon, CEO, Alzheimer Society of Canada. "Every year we are continually impressed by the commitment and dedication Canadians show in supporting our vital services for the many people with Alzheimer's or a related disease."
