Her Book of Dreams
By Judy C. Lunam MacConnell
In memory of my mother-in-law
(See Judy's other piece, Look at Her)

She sits by the window
Day after day
Time just slips away
She says she remembers well
When she fell under his spell
But that was so long ago
She closes her eyes
Just for a while
Then soon forgets
Why life turned out this way
Soon she escapes
To her favorite place
Inside her book of dreams.
She wears lace and satin
Diamonds and pearls
She dances with
Kings and Queens.
Her life is very real……
Inside her book of dreams!
