The Good Day Cafe & Social Luncheons

Socializing with others is an important part of living well with dementia.

Social group

Currently, our cafe and luncheon programs are not running due to COVID-19.  Pleased stay tuned for updates as this changes.

Our social programs are open to people living with dementia and their care partners and provide an opportunity to put the disease aside to share experiences, laugh and enjoy the company of others who understand.

Good Day Cafés

Good Day Cafes are drop-in social groups for people living with dementia and their care partners. Run by the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County, in partnership with local venues, cafés provide an opportunity for you to chat with other people, exchange information and experiences and have some fun over a cup of coffee and/or something to eat in a supportive and welcoming environment.

If interested in participating in a Good Day Cafe, please contact our office at 705-722-1066.

Orillia Good Day Social Luncheon

The Orillia Good Day Social Luncheon is open to people living with dementia, and their care partners and offers the same benefits of our cafes while sitting down for a meal together.

The group typically meets the 3rd Monday of each month at various restaurants in Orillia.  Registrations for the luncheons is required.
