Position Summary:

To identify logistical needs for the 2017 Walk for Alzheimer’s. Make arrangements to fill those needs through donations whenever possible. To plan and implement set up and take down of all equipment for the event.

Responsibilities:


1. Collaborate with the Events Coordinator to identify logistical needs for the 2017 Walk for Alzheimer’s.

2. Collaborate with the Events Coordinator to identify community sources to fill the logistical needs (i.e.: sound system, tables, chairs, etc.)

3. Approach sources and secure equipment to meet logistical needs. Confirm agreements prior to event.

4. Ensure that all equipment is in good working order prior to the event.

5. Develop and maintain accurate records and responses to efforts for future events.

6. Coordinate and supervise the set-up and take down of equipment at the event.

7. Ensure that all equipment that has been borrowed or rented is returned in good condition and in a timely manner.

• Attend Orientation Session for new volunteers

Accountability:

• To the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County: to represent the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County to the sources of needed equipment in a professional and friendly manner
• To the Planning Committee Chair and the Events Coordinator: to fulfil all responsibilities in a timely and acceptable manner
• To the Participants: to ensure that all needed equipment is in place and in good working order on event day

Time Commitment:

• Monthly Planning Committee meetings beginning November 2016 to May 2017, approximately 1.5 – 2 hours/month
• Logistical arrangements: December – May: approximately 4 hours per month
• Attend the 2017 Walk for Alzheimer’s on Sunday, May 28, 2017
