Position Summary:

To approach businesses within Simcoe County to secure donations for the 2017 Walk for Alzheimer’s.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with the Donations Coordinator to secure donations for the Walk for Alzheimer’s.

2. Contact businesses on the list provided by the Donations Coordinator.

3. Deliver the donations request letters and forms to the businesses contacted.

4. Follow-up after donations request letters have been delivered. Continue to follow- up until a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answer is given.

5. Develop and maintain records of businesses contacted, contact people, accurate, up-to-date telephone numbers, email addresses, mailing addresses, etc.

6. Keep accurate records of donations received and contact information for donations received.

7. Inform the Donations Coordinator concerning the status of requests made and donations confirmed.

8. Communicate particular donor needs for recognition to the Donations Coordinator

9. Pick up donations as needed.

Accountability:

• To the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County: to represent the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County to the community and to the participating locations in a professional and friendly manner
• To the Donations Coordinator and the Events Coordinator: to fulfil all responsibilities in a timely and acceptable manner
• To the Participating Donors: to interact with all donors in a professional and friendly manner and to pick-up, deliver all donations in a timely and acceptable manner; to ensure that all donors are recognized appropriately

Time Commitment:

• Solicitation and confirmation of donations from prospective donors on list provided: December – May: approximately 2 hours per month
