Generosity of Spirit Award Winner Announced
Alzheimer Society to recognize corporate philanthropy
of CenterLine (Windsor) Ltd.
June 9, 2015, Windsor, Ontario. The Alzheimer Society of Windsor and Essex County announced recently that its Board of Directors has awarded the 2015 Generosity of Spirit Award to CenterLine (Windsor) Ltd. for its ongoing support of the organization’s fundraising efforts.
“For years, CenterLine’s generosity has given us significant resources to serve more persons with dementia and their partners in care, and to serve them better,” says Sally Bennett Olczak, CEO of the Alzheimer Society of Windsor and Essex County.
Since 2009, CenterLine has been hosting an annual Alzheimer Coffee Break on its premises, and has been matching employee donations to the Alzheimer Society.
In 2014 alone, this amounted to a corporate donation of $2,647. Over the past six years, CenterLine has donated over $22,000 to the Alzheimer Society – making CenterLine the single largest donor for Coffee Break.
Established in Windsor in 1957, CenterLine manufactures welding-related equipment for the automotive, mass transit, aerospace, and defense industries. It was named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies in 2013, and requalified for the award again in 2014.
The Generosity of Spirit Award will be officially presented to CenterLine during the Alzheimer Society’s annual general meeting on Tuesday, June 16, 2015.
Every year, the Alzheimer Society’s Board selects a recipient to recognize an individual, group, organization, or company that has given generously of their time, talents, and resources.
