Forget-Me-Not Trees (fir trees with blue bulbs) help to remind us during the holiday season in December of loved ones who no longer can remember. Originally, live trees in many communities were decorated with blue tree lights as symbols of remembrance for those suffering from dementia and their families. Forget-Me-Not Tree stations are located at grocery and retail stores where you, as the volunteer, will accept donations from the public and provide awareness pamphlets. The “light bulbs” on the tree honour the lives of persons with Alzheimer's disease.
Time commitment: one and two hour shifts are available.
If you would like to support the Forget-Me-Not Tree, either as a volunteer or as a donor, please contact our office.
