Faces of volunteerism

Meet some of our fantastic Alzheimer Society volunteers and get inspired!

"If dementia has impacted your life and you would like to do something to help, volunteer with the Alzheimer Society."

 - Graham, Public Policy and Programs Initiatives Volunteer, Alzheimer Society of Ontario

"I volunteer because I wanted to make a difference in the lives of people affected by the disease. And I feel good about myself afterwards."

-Anthony, Board Member, Alzheimer Society of Ontario

"I volunteer with the Alzheimer Society and many other charities because it keeps me active. And staying active keeps me feeling young."

-Carey, Office Volunteer, Alzheimer Society of Sault Ste. Marie

Cathy Lindsay is a volunteer celebrating her 5th anniversary with our chapter.  She spends one day a week working in office administration and also volunteers at the Walk, Golf Tournament, Tag Day events and Health Fairs.  “I enjoy working with the staff and I find it personally rewarding.”

As a former nurse, Cathy has worked with patients and their caregivers and understands how critical it is for us to receive her support as a volunteer.
