Education

The Alzheimer Society of North Bay and District offers a range of education information about Alzheimer's disease and related dementia to the caregivers and families of people suffering from the disease. We are excited to do presentations to the general public-including students, sports/service clubs, retail, faith based/cultural groups, retirement residences, health care and community agencies. There is no fee for education services.

People suffering from the disease or family members/caregivers are always welcome to call the office to ask a question or to make an appointment to come in and have some questions or suggestions offered in confidence.

Knowing how the disease progresses and planning for the future can help the newly diagnosed regain a feeling of control over the disease. Education can help families understand the disease and create routines to keep their loved ones independent and at home for as long as possible.
