Volunteer
You want to make a difference. And we need your help. Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Alzheimer Society. More than 14,000 volunteers across the country work in many ways to help those affected by Alzheimer's disease, their families and caregivers, and the many Alzheimer Society offices. Whether you have just a bit of time or want to get involved on a regular basis, there are a number of ways you can help.
Contact the Alzheimer Society of North Bay and District, or e-mail the office at alznb.events@cogeco.net to talk about how you can get involved. Here are a few examples that might fill a need at your local Alzheimer Society and may appeal to your interests to get you thinking:
Offer your time
- Help with local events like the annual Alzheimer Coffee Break™, which raises funds for local Alzheimer Societies.
- Help in the office by answering phones, typing, and/or translating.
Offer your expertise
- Join a committee to help with special events or public relations.
- Write for the chapter newsletter, help with accounting or join the board of directors, to name just a few ways you can offer your expertise.
