Alzheimer Journey: Care Essentials

The Alzheimer Society of NB is pleased to be able to offer ‘The Alzheimer Journey’ during the months of March and Ocotber! This FREE education series is designed to provide information to persons living with dementia as well as to their family members. The consecutive weeks of education will introduce families to important topics that will help guide them through the process of learning how  to live with dementia.

Week 2 - The Caregiving Journey

Caregiving challenges, Making decisions, Impact of Stress and Reducing Caregiver Stress

Week 3 -Day-to-day Care

Communication, Activities of daily living, Choosing leisure activities and Approach to Care

Week 4 - Understanding Behaviour

Challenging Behaviours, Responsive Behaviours, Intervention Strategies and Approach to Care
