Support groups for caregivers
Being a caregiver can be an isolating experience. Support groups can be a way of breaking this isolation and allowing caregivers the chance to exchange ideas, feelings and resources with others who are caring for someone with this disease. Two types of groups are available:
1.Educational Support Groups for Caregivers
Valuable information about ADRD is given by a skilled animator, with the opportunity to exchange and share with a peer group throughout the 8-week session.

2.Monthly support groups
These groups are open and ongoing, and are composed of caregivers of all kinds. They offer a peer support network that is understanding and knowledgeable, and that can be invaluable to them as they journey through the different stages of ADRD. SA
are addressed, such as new research findings or medications.

One 2 hour meeting per month (in the evening or afternoon)

* No one shall be refused due to limited financial means. Each situation will be treated individually, please notifiy the coordinator of the program.
