A jury will evaluate all YMG projects that have been forwarded to the Alzheimer Society of Montreal before the deadline.
The following evaluation criteria will guide the jury’s decision:
Determination: how well the commitment of the volunteer is maintained in the face of constraints and obstacles, as well as the level of diligence of the volunteer engagement.
Usefulness and influence: the impact of the volunteer’s efforts on the immediate environment or the local community, and the usefulness of the service provided.
Community innovation: the student has demonstrated innovation in his/her volunteer work. He/she has either contributed in an original way to existing activities, to setting up a project, or to the creation of a new service or one that is different from those that existed already.
The quality of written English: readability – spelling – syntax – ability to analyse and summarise.
The quality of the multimedia presentation: clarity of the presentation – originality – creativity – conforms with the written explanations.
