Walk for Alzheimer's

On Saturday May 7th we hosted our first ever Walk for Alzheimer’s. The event was a major success with 150 people in attendance and over $22,500 being raised for those impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias in our community.

These funds will continue to enable us in providing programs and support for people living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, educate decision-makers about the need for improved health care services, and increase awareness of the disease and its impact among community members.

Walking is only one part of the event, we also shared our experiences, celebrated life and most of all, made a difference.

Thank you to all 2016 participants, donors, sponsors and volunteers, you are making a difference for the over 4000 individuals affected by Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias in the Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington communities.
