About us

The Alzheimer Society of Huron was founded by a group of family caregivers and incorporated in 1993. It is a non-profit corporation and a registered charity, governed by a volunteer board of directors who are elected at the Annual General Meeting. The Society is supported by individual and community service sector donations, special events fundraising and also receives funding from the Southwest Local Health Integrated Network.

The Alzheimer Society of Huron County is affiliated with the Alzheimer Society of Ontario and the Alzheimer Society of Canada. As a local Chapter, one of 38 in Ontario, we provide programs, services and education to persons with Alzheimer's disease and related disorders and their caregivers. The Alzheimer Society of Huron County serves residents of Huron County, with an office located in Clinton and a satellite office located in Zurich.
