Individual Support

Individual Counselling

Individualized supportive counselling is available for:

• Caregivers of persons with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia
• Family of someone with dementia
• Friends of someone with dementia

Counselling is confidential and is offered by telephone, e-mail or in person at the Alzheimer Society office in Barrie or satellite locations in:

• Midland
• Bradford
• Collingwood

Caregiver Retreat

The Caregiver Retreat is an annual event for family and friends caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia.  Usually held in the spring, the Caregiver Retreat is an opportunity for caregivers to take a day to relax and recharge for their demanding role. There is a registration fee for this event.
