January is Alzheimer Awareness Month. We’re asking Canadians to learn about the 10 warning signs and keep an open mind about Alzheimer's.
Have you noticed any of these signs in yourself or someone you care about? Talk to your doctor. Early diagnosis allows you to get the help you need and plan for the future.
Reduce your risk
Are you concerned about developing Alzheimer’s disease? You can lower your risk – even later in life. Eat a healthy diet. Do more physical activity. Challenge your brain. Stay connected with family and friends. Quit smoking. Keep your diabetes and blood pressure in check.
Don’t face this disease alone – we’re here to help
The Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia provides support throughout the progression of the disease so you or someone you care about can live as well as possible. Get support by calling (902) 422-7961, 1-800-611-6345 or by e-mailing email@example.com.
