Help put Alzheimer's on ice!

Have you ever dreamt of receiving a pass from one of your childhood hockey heroes? Or hearing locker room stories from NHL Alumni about their Stanley Cup experience?  You can, with the Scotiabank Hockey for Alzheimer’s.

On November 13-15, this unique three-day, co-ed and non-contact tournament will give participants the exhilarating opportunity to play with and against NHL Alumni all while raising awareness and funds to support those who face dementia.

The tournament begins on Friday, November 13, with the Gordie Howe & Friends luncheon (exclusive to sponsors, team captains and highest fundraisers) and continues with Draft Night, where you can mingle with your fellow players and NHL Alumni and over drinks and appetizers. The main event is the draft selection, in which the top ten fundraising teams will find out what their draft position is and select their NHL Alumni. Saturday and Sunday are when your training and fundraising pays off. Each team is guaranteed three tournament games in their division over the two days.

Have you been dreaming about passing pucks on the ice in the Scotiabank Hockey for Alzheimer’s tournament but don’t have a team? No problem! You can join the Free Agents! We will match you to a great existing team who needs players like you to fill their roster and join their fundraising efforts. A minimum fundraising amount of $1,500 is required when you join the team.

For more information about the tournament or to register visit hockeyforalzheimers.ca or contact  Melanie Munroe at 604-742-4915 or mmunroe@alzheimerbc.ca.
