More Than A Number

In the next 15 years, the number of Canadians with dementia is expected to reach close to 1 million people.

But these men and women are more than a number. They are friends, family and neighbours.

When it comes to Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, here are the facts:

  • 564,000 Canadians are currently living with dementia.
  • This number is expected to rise by 66% in the next 15 years.
  • 16,000 of these men and women are under the age of 65.
  • 25,000 new cases of dementia will be diagnosed this year.

With numbers like these, now is the time to take action.
