Forget Me Not Golf Tournament
2016 Forget Me Not Golf Tournament
The annual Forget Me Not Golf Tournament presented by Canaccord Genuity, took place on Thursday, Thursday May 19, 2016 at the world renowned Northview Golf & Country Club. Northview is home to two of the most exciting and challenging courses in British Columbia and has clubhouse facilities that are considered by many to be the best in the Pacific Northwest.
The day began with a buffet lunch and continued with an afternoon of golf and a variety of contests and prizes to be won. After a relaxing day on the golf course, golfers enjoyed a delicious dinner, where they bid on a variety of silent auction prizes and participated in the live auction.
To date, the Forget Me Not Golf Tournament has raised over $9.6 million in support of the Alzheimer Society of B.C. 90 per cent of the funds raised go directly to the Society. Proceeds from the Forget Me Not Golf Tournament are divided equally between funding research for the cure and programs that support families in B.C. living with dementia.
2016 Forget Me Not Golf Committee Members Jim Carter, Hugh Murray, Don Towers, Mark Zuberbuhler, Rob Travers, Kyle Harrison, Mark Bridges, and special guests Steve Darling, Sally Buchignani and Reg Buchignani present Alzheimer Society of B.C. CEO Maria Howard with a cheque for $650,000.
