This Change Day, commit to an act of change to improve health and social care in B.C.
Have you joined the movement yet? Join the Alzheimer Society of B.C. as we work with municipalities, professionals, corporations and volunteers to better support people with dementia by becoming a Dementia Friend. Together we can reach the goal of one million Dementia Friends across Canada
Anyone involved in health and social care across B.C. can commit to an act of change that will improve care for patients or the system they work in. What someone pledges, and how they do it, is entirely up to them.
Here at the Society, we are committed to making change through our Dementia-Friendly Communities initiative. By providing the tools, education and information that community members need, the Society is helping municipalities, professionals, corporations and the public to develop dementia-friendly communities.
This Change Day, we pledge to do our part to ensure B.C. is #dementiafriendly.
Make a pledge and help reach 5,000 pledges across B.C. by October 15. Looking for inspiration? You could:
- Get involved as a volunteer or help fundraise for the Society.
- Learn more about dementia-friendly communities.
- Visit www.dementiafriends.ca to learn more about the national awareness campaign and to become a Dementia Friend.
Or create your own personal pledge to create awareness, fight stigma, and support the independence, value and inclusion of people with dementia in your community.
