The new regional South and East Fraser Resource Centre opens to the public

The Alzheimer Society of B.C. has announced the opening of its new Surrey regional Resource Centre. The Resource Centre will serve the South and East Fraser regions and will offer the Society’s full range of services through First Link® which connects individuals diagnosed with dementia and their family and friends to the Society, helping them make informed choices to live a better life at every stage of the disease.

“First Link provides early access to on-going, reliable support services and education essential for people to live well with dementia,” says Maria Howard, Society CEO. “The new Surrey regional Resource Centre will enable us to deliver First Link support services more effectively to the South and East Fraser region, including Delta, White Rock, Surrey, Cloverdale, Langley, Abbotsford, Mission, Chilliwack and Hope.”

An official Open House at the new location will be held to introduce First Link and the Society’s other services to the area – the community is invited to attend on Tuesday, June 23, between 1 – 3 p.m. at 201 - 15127 100 Avenue, Surrey. Those interested should RSVP no later than Friday, June 19, at 604-449-5000 or info.southfraser@alzheimerbc.org.
