“Eternal Love” Vancouver charity concert raises over $28,000!

Annabelle Louie, a local vocal teacher and renowned singer in Hong Kong, held an event called "Eternal Love” at the River Rock Casino on April 2. The event raised over $28,000 in support of the Alzheimer Society of B.C. Proceeds will go towards providing support and learning opportunities to British Columbians affected by dementia and will enable research into the causes and cure.

During the concert, Annabelle told the crowd that she hopes the concert’s theme “Eternal Love” will remind people to cherish the love they have, and also raise the public’s awareness of dementia.  Annabelle sang songs in Chinese and English, shook hands with her fans and collected additional donations for the Society. She also donated autographed versions of her best-selling CD at the lobby, and urged the crowd to buy a copy in support of the Society.

The Alzheimer Society of B.C. would like to thank Annabelle for using her beautiful voice to raise funds and awareness for families across B.C. on the dementia journey. You can join Annabelle in holding an independent fundraiser with our Anything for Alzheimer’s initiative.

Anything for Alzheimer’s makes it easy for you to fundraise by using your creative ideas or outstanding talents.  It just takes a little creativity, some planning, and the desire to make a difference in the lives of people affected by dementia. No event is too big or too small! For more information click here or contact Theresa Frazao at 604-742-4947 or tfrazao@alzheimerbc.org.
