Each fall, the Alzheimer Society of Sault Ste. Marie & Algoma District participates in the nation-wide fundraising initiative, Coffee Break®. All funds raised stay right here in our community and go toward education and support programs for both caregivers and persons living with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.
If you have hosted a Coffee Break in the past or if you are eager to get involved for the very first time, we invite you to join in on the fun and help us raise funds that are critical to assisting people in our community. Contact us to get involved by calling 705-942-2195 or emailing us at email@example.com.
What is Coffee Break®?
Coffee Break® is an annual nation-wide fundraiser where friends, clients, family, co-workers, and customers come together in communities across Canada to raise funds for their local Alzheimer Society. Traditionally participants will make a donation in exchange for a coffee or a paper coffee cup cut-out, but many events have evolved into so much more… a wine & cheese, book club meeting, fish fry, a business conference, dress down day or a daily special … you can choose to host for a day, a weekend, a week, a month…Coffee Break® can be anything you want it to be!
Where does an Alzheimer Coffee Break® take place?
Large corporations, small businesses, hospitals, churches, schools, service organizations, health-care facilities and private residences are just a few examples of ideal places to host coffee breaks. You can organize an event -- large or small -- anywhere people might gather to share refreshments and good company.
When does it take place?
Coffee Break® events take place any time throughout September through November. If you would like to learn more about hosting your own Coffee Break® event, contact us for more details at (705) 942-2195 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
