Funding information

Doctoral

Amount: $22,000 / year
Duration: 3 years
Eligibility: Within first 18 months of PhD program

Postdoctoral

Amount: $41,500/year (PhD) | $51,500/year (MD)
Duration: 2 years
Eligibility: Within 18 months of obtaining PhD (extension may be given to MDs)

Young Investigator Grant

Amount: $60,000 (QoL) | $75,000 (Biomedical)
Duration: 3 years
Eligibility: Within the first 2 years of initial faculty position

Research Grant

Amount: $60,000 (QoL) | $75,000 (Biomedical)
Duration: 2 years
Eligibility: Must hold a faculty position with a Canadian university or affiliated institution

Partnerships

Alzheimer Society Research Program/ Pacific Alzheimer Research Foundation (PARF) Grant

Types of funding: Research Grant, Young Investigator Grant
Amount: $120,000/year (QoL) | $150,000/year (Biomedical)
Duration: 2 years, *For Young Investigator Grants only, a third year of funding will be provided by ASRP alone, at regular funding levels
Eligibility: Principal investigators must be based in a university or affiliated institution in British Columbia

Firefly Foundation Spark Award

Types of funding: Postdoctoral Fellowship
Amount: $50,000/year
Duration: 2 years
Eligibility: Applicants must be based in a university or affiliated institution in Ontario

Fonds de recherche du Québec-Santé (FRQS)

Types of funding: Doctoral Award, Postdoctoral Fellowship
Amount: $22,000/year | $41,500/year (PhD) | $51,500/year (MD)
Duration: 2 years, *if a Postdoctoral Fellow is awarded a third year of funding through FRQS, the candidate will receive regular funding levels through FRQS alone
Eligibility: Applicants must based in a university or affiliated institution in Quebec
