Make Your Coffee Count: Get involved with Coffee Break® 2013

Autumn is a great time for catching up with friends over a warm cup of coffee! Show your support for people affected by Alzheimer’s in your community by hosting a Coffee Break. Coffee Break officially launches today. Thousands of people will be hosting events across Canada to help us reach our fundraising goal of $1.5 million for local programs and services.

Here are a few simple ways to support Coffee Break:

  • Host a Coffee Break in your community
It can be as simple as inviting your friends and neighbours for a coffee party or potluck, or organizing a community event at your home or office. And it doesn’t have to be coffee! You could organize a garage sale, a dress-down day at work, or a silent auction. The possibilities are endless! The important thing is to be creative and have fun while supporting your local Alzheimer Society.

  • Contact your local Society to find a Coffee Break near you
There are many public events that happen across the country as part of Coffee Break. Contact your local Society to find an event you can attend in your area.

  • Visit one of our retail partners to purchase a paper-cut out
Visit your local Bulk Barn, Robin’s Donuts, Coffee Time or Kent Building Supplies Ltd during the month of September and purchase a paper cut-out for $1 each. Bulk Barn will also be matching customer donations this Saturday, September 21 in support of World Alzheimer’s Day.
  • Donate online
Strapped for time, but still want to make a donation? Donate to Coffee Break online! All donations over $15 receive a tax receipt, and you may be eligible to take advantage of the First-time donor super tax credit.
